Civic Design Studio builds communities through art and culture, design and education 

Civic Design Studio is a team of nationally and internationally-award winning artists, educators, designers and technologists. Our future-facing specializations grow community collaborations and creative pathways across Bay Area cities. 

We focus on art, design, ecology and education efforts that impact urban planning, economic development and public safety.

We create large scale public displays, design builds, and “evergreen” community cultural efforts that come from the voices of local neighborhoods, public schools and cultural community hubs.  

We create and support strong cross-sector partnerships through our core strengths to help neighborhoods and communities thrive and be resilient. Civic Design Studio bridges city sectors to address long-standing civic needs in communities:
