Creative Expo

Now in it’s 7th year, the Creative Expo has become an Oakland tradition! We co-created the Expo to be a celebration bringing public schools and the greater community together to celebrate educators, youth and creativity. The annual outdoor event is held with partners: Civic Design Studio, E14 Gallery, Old Oakland Merchants, and Oakland Unified School District’s Fashion, Arts Media & Entertainment Pathways. The Expo showcases Oakland’s creative industry through its schools and youth: visual art, design, architecture, urban planning, building, digital innovation, photography, fashion, music and performing arts, spoken word and more.

Every year we host over 20 Oakland creative industry and community collaborators, 30 Old Oakland restaurants and merchants, 12 OUSD schools, and hundreds of OUSD and Peralta Colleges students. Multimedia installations will be on display, artwork and wares will be available for sale, and there will be attractions, food, and activities for all ages.
